Happy Leap Day!
That's right, it's the one magical day every four years that doesn't really exist. My watch didn't think it did, anyway. People born on this day in 2000 are turning 1 today. Congratulations! If you aged at the rate you had birthdays, you'd be practically immortal.
Of course this will screw up my ability to count backward and remember what days events happened for the last 4 years...
Anyway, it was a decent weekend. Played DDR at the arcade yesterday. I got an A on B4U on Standard! That is quickly becoming my song. I also passed Speed Over Beethoven with a B after failing it the first time through... go figure that one. And of course, there was the obsession over Sakura with Jon and Ralph... Ralph made me play it as our first song so I retaliated with "You want a fast song? Bring it, Bitch!" and picked Max 300. It was quite humorous, but I doubt anyone cares as most of you haven't a clue what I'm talking about.
So I went over to Jason's today both to see his new Alienware and to try and claim my $70. I got $13.06 in gas money. Don't think you're getting out of the other $56.94, Jason. Because you're not.
Okay I should go work on a project or something... I have enough due, but the one due tomorrow isn't done because the company the teacher sent us to talk to are shitheads. Back me up, Dwayne.
I guess I'll just work on some extra credit for Physics or something. Nobody's online, anyway. Hope you all had a good February. I did and I didn't.

Okay, I apologize for the lack of updates this week, but the class I normally post from (this one) has become a very unfriendly environment for net surfers. Yeah the teacher realized that nobody was listening to her and got mad, *claiming* she was gonna perform random checks on who was doing what, but it hasn't happened yet. Still, I'm paranoid so now I actually attempt to listen.
Not a whole lot to say, nothing new this week, although I think I'm working on several battle plans, one of which is my graduation. Provided I fail nothing, can get the classes I need, and find some more money, I should graduate in spring 2006. Woohoo.
Happy weekend.

Happy Birthday, AJ!
Well, it's been an interesting couple of days. I really haven't enjoyed them much, and I'm left with only $20 in my wallet (Jason if you're reading this I NEED that $70 to LIVE ON for the rest of the week).
So today especially I feel like shit. Not sure totally why, maybe I had too much time just sitting in my room thinking today. Having a lot of homework does that to me. Of course I don't know why I do the homework, I'm probably just gonna fail anyway. Just like with everything else I do.
All weekend I've felt pretty useless. Not even because of work. Just a general feeling of helplessness. These come on from time to time, yeah, but it's been a couple months since the last one and I'd thought they'd given way to my fits of anger. Apparently I was mistaken. Still wondering what triggered it.
Anyway I can't help but feel like I'll never amount to anything. I feel pretty much unloved by most people with very few exceptions. The feeling was so intense last night that I was thinking pretty crazy. I was gonna drive around alone for a while but Jon insisted on going with me. If he hadn't, I don't know how the night would've ended up, but it wouldn't have been good. Today I mainly did homework and slept for a while every couple hours.
Maybe tomorrow afternoon will make me feel better ;)

Must... control... fist of death...
I hate it when my friends put aside everything they stand for either for the benefit of others or just to get a cheap thrill.
But, sadly, there is nothing I can do to stop it.

They're making an Ender's Game movie... This frightens me. The books are incredible, and I really don't think any movie (esp. produced by Warner Bros.) could do them justice. Even if Orson Scott Card IS involved in writing the screenplay... To do this movie the way the book is written, they'd have to traumatize a child actor and I don't think they'd be willing to.
Not only that, but it could also really over-commercialize something I love... but today's Penny Arcade! already made that point.
In other news, I downloaded StepMania. Getting songs is actually a very convoluted process, but oh well. Dad and I are going to RadioShack tomorrow to try and find the necessary components to hook my laptop up to a TV and dance pad so I can actually play it.

I can now consistently pass Max 300 (albeit on Light).
It's little consolation, though. This weekend still royally sucked. Friday was okay, I attented a mafia party with Jason and Ralph before going to the arcade and to Webb's. Saturday, on the other hand...
As I said earlier, I was turned down for V-Day so I merely worked my 11-7 (and it was busy as shit), then spent the night the only place I could keep my mind off things - the Minors. Jon and I went over there when I got off work. It was really good to sit down and talk to them again after such a long time of just seeing them in passing. Both of them liked my Soviet Military hat and my new cell phone... Mrs. Minor also told me to ask Kelli to go with me to a play that I'd already asked her to go to. :) Just shows you how little I've spoken with her since Thanksgiving.
After that Jon and I went over to Jason's house (Ralph was sick with "food poisoning" aka the intestinal flu - hopefully his liquid poo will get better soon) and played some DDR... Yeah I sucked. Badly. And I hurt my foot on an end table.... Playing Max 300. After that we just watched some AquaTeen, which was good because I was getting really mad at myself. I ranted to Jon about myself playing DDR for like 20 minutes when I dropped him off. Sunday I missed the gun show because of Ralph's illness.
Today sucked worse, though. It was bad enough finding out that I had no chance... No matter how many times you hear that, it still hurts. But then Krissi has to call me right after I hear the "we have to just be friends" line and tell me that she's dropped all her courses on the days we carpool - so I'm without a ride partner, and completely out of money. Great.
I hate my life so much. When is something gonna work in my favor? All I ask is to be happy, but I guess that's just too much.

Hallmark: "Sales are down... We need to invent a new holiday... HAPPY LOVE DAY!"
Okay, ripping off the Simpsons not withstanding, I hate Hallmark. Tomorrow is another of those holidays that has been bastardized by the corporate regime... Romance has been replaced with commercialism. A candlelight dinner and sitting in front of the fire has given way to candy, gifts, cards, expensive cuisine, overpriced chick-flicks, etc. All the while publicly separating those who have someone from those who don't. Sure, maybe it's not the "colored" vs. "white" drinking fountains of the 50's, and it is only a day - but it still becomes apparent who is walking around in someone else's arms vs. those who are just wandering aimlessly, feeling bitter and angry and alone, all the while playing DDR/Soul Calibur II in an attempt to survive until 12 AM and the end of the day...
Not that I've given you a picture of myself tomorrow... Oh screw it, yes I have. I got turned down, so it looks like I'm gonna be alone on yet ANOTHER Valentine's Day. Because working 11-7 wasn't already gonna be bad enough, now I get to spend the special night with myself... I think at this point the world would end if I found myself on a date on February 14th. Guess I'll just to have to call my grandmother and say happy birthday.
Oh, and I might also be losing my commuting partner. IF that happens, I don't think I can afford to finish school.
And just when things were looking up...
You know, I don't normally do this lyric-blog thing, but since the bad luck of Friday the 13th came a day early for me I feel it necessary...
"Another Day Goes By" by Dope
Another day goes by...
And I don't understand or know the reasons why
I'm looking for a change in life, but...
Another day goes by...
Here we go again
It's today
I wish it was tomorrow though I think I'd say
Ya know I think it, feels just like yesterday
So lately I've been looking for a change
But the more things change
The more they seem to stay the same
Here we go again
Another day goes by...
And I don't understand or know the reasons why
I'm looking for a change in life, but...
Another day goes by...
Here we go again
It's a new day
It's almost like tomorrow never came
Same ole thing, same ole game, different name
And everyday I sing the same ole song
And today I don't feel like waking up
But the show must go on and on and on
Another day goes by
And I don't understand and I don't pretend to try
I wanna change my life
But another day goes by
Just when I get it right, another day goes by
Here we go again
If I can change it, I'll rearrange it
Tomorrow could be all right...
So many days gone by
I still don't understand but now I realize
I'm gonna change my life, that's right
While the days go by
I'm gonna change my life, that's right
While the days go by
I wanna change my life
But... another day goes by...
It's just another day...

Happy 21st birthday, Zach!
I find it ironic that I seem to get more comments when I have shorter posts. This proves to me that people are glazing over stuff when I write longer entries. Well then, prepare to fall asleep.
Okay so it's been an interesting week (sorry for not posting). I *think* things have been made okay between me and AJ, at least for now. So that's good. Also, while watching Jeopardy! on Monday I ran into Andrea in the TV lounge area at school (For anyone who doesn't know the story behind me and her, you can get the very abridged version here). We had dinner that night, then met up again on Wednesday.
Friday Jon and I went through much frustration trying to get money to pre-pay for bowling for Zach's birthday. It ended up that we had enough people, though, as Jason wanted to host a poker/DDR/bowling party to try and keep his mind off his ex-girlfriend. Well, that worked until someone we invited brought her along (and six freakin' other people we couldn't fit) to bowling. Great move there. Hope you're doing better, Jay.
Anyway Saturday was pretty fun. I played Soul Calibur II all day, with the brief interruption of Jerod dominating me at DBZ Budokai 2. Then my uncle dropped by to give me a belated 21st birthday present: a really awesome picture and 100 bucks. Then to Jason's for "poker," which ended up just being the best DDR night of my life. Seriously, my performance was unparalled by me at any other time. I not only got an A on "Heaven" using double pads, but got a C on "I Like to Move It" on Heavy.
Bowling was good too, save for the group showing up... Buzzed Jon actually has FUN. Wow. And he actually seemed to enjoy my company for once.
Well... that is, until today when he sobered up and we played Soul Calibur. 36 battles in an hour... Winner? ME 19-17. Probably would've gone to 20 but we ran out of time. Yes, I know that's pathetic.
Shadow out.
