Well, Andrea pointed out to me that I had not posted in forever so here goes.
The 4th was quite fun. Ralph and I had dinner at Outback, then we met up with Jerod and Ryan at McDonald's and went to the Minors. TJ managed to get off work early as well and come along. We arrived to see that they had started at 8 even though Mr. Minor had explicitly told us 9 and we made plans centered around that. Kelli told us to come earlier but we really couldn't because of the meeting times we'd set up.
The show was awesome, kicking the shit out of any previous year. There were a lot of huge fireworks, and for the first time ever, we heard the remains clanking on the pavement. TJ was also using his hands to launch bottle rockets, with which he nearly blew off Jerod's face and burned his hands. Unfortunately, Mrs. Minor told us that since we had spent so much that she didn't want to clean up gasoline, which kinda sucks because we had some stuff to burn. I guess we will have to do it at Ralph's some time.
Speaking of Ralph's, I've been there a lot but we haven't watched a movie or burned for a while, it's just been WoW. Huge WoW party this weekend after Ryan's grad party.
I will say that since the 4th, I have been feeling rather down because the high point of the summer which I so look forward to is now over. Not only that, but this is my last summer of freedom before entering the real world and I'm spending it at McD's. But I guess I need the money.
In other news, I bought a new flat panel monitor off eBay and it should be here soon. Also, thanks to Andrea's drunken idiot former co-workers, I have found Ares, which is the next Kazaa. I can actually download music again, thank god!
I am still toying with the idea of getting Sirius since I usually listen to the radio more than CD's on the way to and from school, though.
Andrea and I are doing well. We saw the downtown fireworks together on the 3rd and we've seen her family a few times since then. We don't get to see each other enough, though. So I guess that's a good reason for school to start, plus I get a week's paid vacation before that.
Andrea's dad got a new SUV and my mom did as well. Mark is selling his Buick if anyone cares.
In other news, my friend Brian came to visit my house for the first time in five years (as opposed to me going to his house) and we watched Super Troopers because he hadn't seen it. Movies I've seen recently include Batman Begins and Fantastic Four, and I want to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and War of the Worlds.
Also, one of our Mexican friends at work is very sick. He has developed a brain tumor and also possibly had a heart attack last night. It is sad, he is young and I don't think he is going to make it.
Well that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll post again someday.
