Today felt a bit nostalgic at certain points...

First off, Tim came back to work at McD's today. Granted he's only gonna be there for three weeks, but it reminded me of old times. And it was good to see him, although I was heavy-hearted to see him back in that uniform which we all despise.

Besides the mail on the office desk for Melenie (or "Memenie" because they spelled her name wrong), the other thing that reminded me of old times was that I had to walk home after work. I haven't walked that mile since high school, and I forgot how long it took. I have to walk there tomorrow for my 11-7. Fortunately Mark gave me a ride to the meeting and Mike brought me home. We sat there for about half an hour bitching about work.

So much sucks there now. They keep sending me to stupid shitty classes about how to be a good manager as if they expect this to be my career. I wish they wouldn't waste the money on me... I guess sanitation class wasn't too bad because it talked about stuff you can use in daily life, but the shift running seminar was pure bullshit. I'm not gonna work there all that much longer if I can help it (which I can't). And they signed me up for a WEEK-LONG class at the end of June.

Maybe I can find another job by then, but I really doubt it.

Not feeling too up about anything right now... Seems like every time Andrea and Ralph talk, it's about how I'm in some way inferior. This usually leads to a collapse in my happy state of mind and I get really depressed for a while.

As a result, I've been listening to a lot of Dope for the past couple hours. This is like the first time I've listened to a lot of their stuff in months, but it usually helps ease my sadder moments.

Anyway, the point to this is that I don't know if my old life theme ("No Leaf Clover" by Metallica) fits me anymore, what with the changes that have happened over the spring semester. I'm considering this as a new one:

"I Am" by Dope (Warning: Explicit Content!):

Sometimes you don't understand
Sometimes I am what I am
Sometimes I just can't be
Everything you hoped I'd be
And sometimes I wish that you could see

I'm not like you,
I'm not like them,
I won't pretend

Cause I am... what I am
I am... what I am
That's all I am

Sometimes I wish that we
Could agree to disagree
Sometimes I wish that you could see what I see (what I see)
This is who I am
I've always been
And I don't think you'll ever understand

why I'm not like you,
I'm not like them,
I won't pretend (I won't pretend)

Cause I am... what I am
I am... what I am (x4)

Fuck it, I'm who I am (x3)
I'm not you,
I am...

You don't understand
I am what I am
And I don't think you'll ever understand

why I'm not like you,
I'm not like them,
I won't pretend (I won't pretend)

Cause I am... what I am
I am... what I am (x4)

Fuck it, I'm who I am (x3)
I'm not you,
I am...

Grades released into WINS today! Well, some of them at least. Technically professors have until today to get grades in there and they're to be officially posted tomorrow... But it looks like everyone but my physics professor (who allegedly had final grades calculated last week) has input them already and I know what I got in physics so I'm all good to go.

I'm very pleased with myself. I got a C in Calc III after failing Calc II... I'm sure that will make an interesting story to the math department, but they seem to have already given me the credit. B in networking, B in web development, an A in World of Ideas and I'm pretty certain a B in physics. That gives me a 3.0 for the semester... This is the first time I've had that since I've started at Whitewater (Well, except for my 4.0 but that was one easy class in a summer session so it doesn't count). Anyway, I'm rather happy with myself for my performance for the first time in a long time.

In other news, I got my replacement headlamp and set up an appointment to get the car half-fixed next Wednesday.

That's all for now!

Well, I sure had a busy day.

First off was work, where of course Tricia sat in the office all morning and didn't come out until 11 am when I was supposed to leave and then started bitching about what was done wrong with the store. I had to stay almost 45 minutes late to appease her stupid assinine requests.

After work I didn't have time for sleep, I called my insurance agent about the accident but his secretary wouldn't let me talk to him. So now I have to talk to a claims adjuster. Great. I did however manage to get ahold of an aftermarket headlamp assembly. Well, I don't have it in my possession, but the parts center ordered it and it will be in tomorrow. I got an estimate too... $395 to fix just the headlight, $894 to fix that and the bumper. Blech. I would like to fix both but I think I may have to do it in increments as I get the money.

I finally went to the doctor, though... after he examined my whole body for some reason, he decided the health center was right about my mouth problems being yeast-related. Said it looked pretty persistent, but that they'd prescribed the wrong medication when I went there. Oy. He gave me the right stuff and told me if I'm not better in two weeks to go see him again. Hopefully I won't have to.

I should get going. I have to wash the bedsheets the cat puked on before I get to sleep in them. Plus, there seems to be a major storm brewing outside.

Well, exams are over and summer "vacation" is upon us. I use quote marks around "vacation" because summer for me is more stressful and hellish than the school year. At least while I am in school I am actually accomplishing something, and I really don't mind being there. In fact I rather enjoy school on some level. Not so much the homework but just getting away from home, taking certain (not all) classes, and seeing certain people is good. In summer, however, I have to work at the hell-hole. I get to get screwed when crew don't show up, have to deal with asshole customers, and get yelled at and told I'm stupid and worthless the whole time.

Sadly, I really can't afford to jump jobs this summer. I need stability, because I now need to save up and get repairs done on my car. I don't really make enough money there, but at least I can get hours (though I hate having that many hours). It looks pretty certain now that I won't be able to take the trip I was considering in August, which is really disappointing.

I suppose I should explain the car repair - See, Friday night as Ralph, Kent, and I were leaving the arcade, still a bit frustrated with some stuff, I hit a girl in a Cavalier. Shattered the headlight and dented the grill. And of course, to fix the small hole on the right side of the bumper, I would have to get the whole front panel replaced because it's all one big piece. I still don't have an estimate but I know it will be pricey, plus my insurance payment is due in June and I'm guessing it will go up. I guess I should be glad we actually got a cool cop who didn't give me a ticket. Still, what a way to start the summer...

Saturday was actually okay, work sucked as always but then Andrea and I went to Kelli's photo gallery opening and afterward to her party. Jason and Ralph both had to leave early and some other people who were supposed to show up never did, so we were left not knowing anyone all that well. I still had a good time but I'm not sure if Andrea did or not.

*Sigh* Early bed tonight - gotta open tomorrow, facing Tricia. When I get home I have to call the insurance company, then it's off to the junkyard to try and find a replacement headlamp assembly. Maybe after that I can go get an estimate. We also have a manager's meeting later this week where Tracy will supposedly give us bad news (I fear this greatly), and then Friday I am helping Andrea move. And I *still* haven't been to the doctor. It's gonna be a very busy week.

Until later.

Hmmm... They seem to have redone Blogger. Among other new features are a new menu system and what would appear to be a comment feature. I tried enabling comments but I don't think it worked (I left HaloScan's comments in just to be safe). I'll have to play around with this more later.

A while ago I complained about a Garfield movie. Over the last couple days, however, I have learned about a potential Soul Calibur movie and a Dungeon Siege movie. There is still a Metroid movie in the works, but it appears they have at least temporarily scrapped the live action DBZ movie. I say good riddance. DBZ was not meant to be live action, and even if it was, I would not want Hollywood to be in charge of it. I hope they don't bastardize any of these movies - they all have so much potential but I can see them all really sucking.

Got a new credit card in the mail today... Time to start earning eBay points. I also went through emissions today so I could get my plates renewed. I know, it's been a terribly exciting weekend.

I did see Van Helsing with Paul and Jerod on Saturday. It was good, but it horribly bastardized so many classic monster tales that it's not even funny. I suppose it was worth it, though, because we all had a great time.

Well, back to exam week homework!

Gah, long week. And yet I'm rather depressed that it's over.

I apologize for my recent lack of posts, but it is the week before finals. This means I've needed to cram to catch up on all the homework that is due at each respective exam next week. The reason that I am depressed the week is over is that I did not get a new job for the summer. So, this summer will consist of more McDonald's and less Andrea. That SUCKS. I would rather be pistol whipped for 12 straight hours than see Tricia for 5 straight minutes.

Speaking of Andrea, though, I took her all over the Whitewater/Fort Atkinson area yesterday to get art supplies for one of her final projects. In return for my driving her around, she bought me some food and my very own sketchbook :) - I know it's surprising, but this is the first one I've ever had.

I should work on stuff, but I think I'm gonna play some video games for a while before I am forced to bed at 9:30 (I open tomorrow). I have this strange urge to play DBZ: Budokai 2... Perhaps it's because I've actually been watching DBGT this week. Yes, I know I swore to never watch it, but for some reason I have been.

Kelli's Gallery Opening is next Saturday! Don't be surprised if you don't hear from me before then due to finals.
